Dandy
LIGHT TRAPS #1
All Dandy light traps use vane-type construction, as seen in the photo at left. Air flows through a "M" shaped opening, which blocks light effectively without offering to much airflow resistance. In this way, darkout can be achieved without raising house static pressure too much.

The different Dandy light trap models are designed to provide the exact amount of light blocking (darkout) needed for a particular application. Differences in exact shape, depth of vanes, and the spacing in between the vanes will allow you to chose the light trap that is best suited for your installation.

Models are available in various configurations, sizes, light reduction, and air-flow capabilities.

Dandy Light traps are made of durable corrosion free plastics. They are easily assembled and removed, providing superior performance and cost benefits. They are light in weight and are shipped in knocked-down form to save shipping costs.
Optimizing breeder performance requires being able to fully block out light, while allowing adequate ventilation for the birds. Dandy corporation has engineered superior light reduction solutions since 1982. Through independant laboratory testing and actual in- field performance, our light traps are recognized around the world for their effectiveness and durability.
The Dandy Black Air Hi- Efficiency light trap is one of Dandy technology's most outstanding achievements. The Hi-E uses a defined "M" shape with 3/4" spacing in between the vanes.
The Black Air Hi-E is the darkest light trap on the market, yet it has low airflow resistance, actually much lower than many other light traps with far less light- blocking capability. That means you can get the ultimate in darkout, while keeping static pressure low.

Dandy Max-Flow Light Trap
The Max-Flow Light Trap is the newest light trap design from Dandy. Max-Flow uses a more relaxed "M" shape with 3/4" spacing, it was developed in responce to the industry tread wanting increased air flow. The Max-Flow offers the very best airflow on the market today. This Light Trap requires a smaller square footage of trap due to better air-flow.

Dandy Brown-Out Light Trap
The Brown-Out Light Trap is used in conjunction with evaporative cooling cells. This combination offers low cost, good air-flow, and excellant light reduction. The Brown-Out Light Trap has 1 1/2" spacing in between vanes and is easily assembled .
